Years of full-time study: The number of years of full-time study (YFTS) is based on examinations or parts of degree programmes that have been approved or passed. One year of full-time study corresponds to the prescribed study activity for one year of study. Different parts of degree programmes and examinations do not necessarily constitute the same proportion of a year of study. One student year: The term “one student year” means either one student taught at a school or institution of education for 40 weeks, or 40 students taught at a school or institution of education for one week.
