A new ranking list published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), places Aarhus University as number 84 on the list of the world’s best universities. Even though this is actually worse than 2009, when Aarhus University was number 63, the QS list is largely based on the reputations of universities among researchers, so there can be major changes from one year to the next. Rector Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen attaches greatest importance to the fact that the QS list confirms that Aarhus University is one of the top 100 universities in the world.
