What have you liked best about living in Denmark?

“One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about living here is the travel possibilities. In the winter break I went to Norway, and took a ferry along the coast right up to the northernmost point, where I saw the Northern Lights.”

What is your favourite memory from your time here?
“An event that really stands out was a pizza/sushi night we had last month to raise money for Haiti.  We had around 15 people cooking Italian and Japanese food for 88 people who paid to eat. It was great cooking for so many, and we raised €250.”

Have you had any particular problems with your exchange?
“I think the only problem I’ve had is that I’m having too much fun – it can be really hard to focus on studying!”

What have you enjoyed most about your exchange?
“What has made this exchange for me has been the people – meeting similar, open-minded people from all over the world, including some nationalities I’ve never met before.”

Tell us about something you’ve been involved with:
“Last month I organised and took pictures for a campaign to raise awareness about HIV. I had a bunch of female exchange students I barely knew – and I had them put condoms on their tongues and took pictures! I liked the fact that the campaign was trying to promote the use of contraception in such an up-front way!”

Have you had any particular problems with your exchange?

“To be honest, I was pretty impressed by how smoothly the whole thing went, and my co-ordinator gave me all the information I needed – right down to telling me where might be good places to continue judo!”
