Cambridge triumph in 156th Boat Race
Cambridge came from behind to beat Oxford to the finish line in the Boat Race on a grey and windy April 4th this year. Oxford took the lead early on, but Cambridge fought back and prevailed, despite being considered underdogs by the majority. Around 250,000 people lined the banks of the Thames to watch the two crews struggle through the pain, with another 6-7 million watching on the BBC, and an estimated audience of 120 million overseas.

University of Cambridge and Folkeuniversitetet in a new partnership
A new partnership will send a number of students from the Danish Folkeuniversitetet across the North Sea to the University of Cambridge, which is one of the leading universities in the world. Folkeuniversitetet and Aarhus University have agreed that any interested students can sign up for weekend courses at the University of Cambridge. The courses will be held at beautiful, rural Madingley Hall, , and they generally cost £350 for a weekend including two nights’ board and lodging. Folkeuniversitetet has selected a range of weekend courses on (for instance) opera, love, the Cold War and Shakespeare. You can find the full list of lectures at www.folkeuniversitetet.au.dk under "nyheder".
