The IT City at Aarhus University has recently opened a new building on the corner of Åbogade, Helsingforsgade and Finlandsgade.
The building has been christened the Nygaard Building after the Norwegian mathematician Kristen Nygaard. On 28 November Aarhus University held an opening ceremony attended by University Rector Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen, Regional Council Chairman Bent Hansen, the Mayor of Aarhus Jacob Bundsgaard and many others.
The building covers an area of 8,600 square metres on five floors and will be home to students and researchers from the fields of computer science, media studies, information studies and digital design.
